thats the risk you have to take if you change : that people youve been friends with wont like the new you .. but other people who do will come along.
why is it that my friends dont even bother to notice im dying inside? that my heart has been torn out and all they do i just live their lives like they always have? they dont even take the time to ask how i am or what im doing anymore .. everyone just seems to be slipping away & all i can do is wonder why. its a shame -- the people you thought were your 'best friends' get their own lives, & they dont even notice how yours has been torn apart.

When I look around I think this is good enough. And I try to laugh at whatever life brings because when I look down, I just miss all the good stuff and when I look up, I just trip over things.
What defines a best friend? What are the requirements to be a good best friend? How many hours a week does it entail? Stupid questions that have no answers. A best friend is not defined by how many times they talk on the phone, or how many hours they hang out together. It is not defined by how many sleepovers they gossip at, or how many inside jokes they have. There are no requirements or laws that state that a good best friend must hang out with them every weekend, or tell each other every little detail. A best friend is a matter of opinion. It is the person who has been there for you through everything, not just through the fun things, or the little things. It is the person that you call when you are at your absolute worst, it is the person who saves you when you didn't even notice that you needed saving, mostly it is the person who accepts you for who you are, & the person that you are becoming
| people change. even the person you thought you knew the most changes. & even though it hurts to see them go, you have to move on, for the sweet memories are all you have, & things might never be the same. giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go. death is not the greatest loss in life. the greatest loss it what dies inside of us while we live. best friends are made through smiles & tears, & sometimes that fades away through miles & years. so easy to get lost inside a problem that seems so big at the time it's like a river that's so wide, it swallows you whole while you're sitting around thinking about what you can't change and worrying about all the wrong things, time's flying by, moving so fast you better make it count because you can't get it back. No one knows me as me, just as some girl who always tags along. I'm sorry I don't shine. Only those who wanted to know me actually know me. All my life all I've tried to do is impress people, make other people happy, help them, & be there for everyone. All I get in return is a broken heart. Everyone I've trusted & loved has hurt me; every single person I've dated has left me. Every guy I fallpromises me things & they never seem to keep their word. Every single one of them has made me cry. All the friends I've trusted in the past have stabbed me in the back on point or another. So who is there to trust now, or why should I believe anyone who says they won't hurt me? Why does this happen to me every time? What did I do? I want to know exactly what I did to deserve this when all I ever do is try to make others happy. for Aces up to the girls who have never been kissed. To the girls who get filled with jealousy when another girl kisses a cute boy. To the girls who It's those moments when you drive around in a car full of friends around a town too small for you. Be thankful for what you have; There is a huge difference between giving up and letting go. Giving up is sacrificing what was rightfully yours.... I wanna sit in a crowded room, blasting music, and guzzling soda. I wanna lay in a big mess of people. I wanna watch my friends stuff their face with pizza, and beat eachother up in the snow for absolutely no reason. I wanna watch them spin, just to see who throws up first. I wanna laugh with my friends, and I wanna hold rabbits, and get my shirt full of hair. I wanna hang out in the woods, bulding my friends a house, because they decided to run away. I wanna stay in the house till dusk. Sometimes, I just wish someone would take the time to go past my sarcasm, my loud mouth, my smiling face, my grades & my remarks to see a part of me that i have never seen. don't ever let life put you down ; just know that you'll be you. at some point you will change, but life's not going to do that for you. you're going to have to seek & find how that works, but just don't let anyone stop you from doing what you need to do. if you keep trying to be everything you're not .. you're gonna miss out on everything you were supposed to be. In this moment, who we are is all we have. But maybe, that's all we need. You only find a few people in this world, a few people who will tell you they love you and actually mean it with all their heart. Don't forget those people who stood by you through it all, the special few that were there for you until the end. Too many people get caught up in what could be instead of appreciating what is. Don’t fall into that trap. Appreciate what you have & who you have because the future can take it all away from you. do you ever wake up from a really good dream & just try to get back to sleep? or you have the flu & promise yourself you'll appreciate normal so much more if you could just get back to it? that’s the way I feel. But because God knew you could handle it. I'm learning a lot this summer. Slowly, but I'm learning. I'm learning that boys really aren't everything. That things should truly be the least of my worries. I'm learning not to judge so quickly. To spend more time with my family. But most of all, I'm learning to keep my I should count on the most. I'm learning to get used to his leaving and then coming back. I'm learning to live life. another summer coming to its end our days our numbered, it's too hard to pretend spending our hours buying paper & paste trying not to remember those clear summer days we left to waste |
